What is Awana?
Awana, which stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed,” is a Bible-based youth program for kids committed to the belief that the greatest impact for Christ starts with kids who know, love and serve Him.
Bible-centered handbooks and club activities help your children begin to build a solid understanding of the basics of Christianity through fun, Scripture-rich experiences that lead them to know, love and serve Him. Game time provides an exciting opportunity to compete and burn off excess energy. Games are provided which are unique to AWANA. This unique program is a proven outreach ministry that gets children involved in learning God’s word and developing a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Awana equips ministry leaders and parents to reach and disciple kids who impact their generation with the gospel. God’s vision to multiply leaders is planted in countless individuals. Awana nurtures this vision. At FBC, we have partnered with Awana to train leaders who help change kids’ lives forever.
God is at work changing the world through the evangelism and long-term discipleship ministry of Awana. Kids lives are forever transformed. Volunteers grow as leaders. Families become stronger and FBC is building community through active involvement in Awana. Our world needs the hope that only Christ gives. God uses Awana to raise up kids, parents and leaders devoted to knowing Scripture, loving Him and reaching others with the gospel.
